Financial Update
Due to problems inherited from last year's bookstore, we are still unable to estimate how much, if any, money the LSS will get from the bookstore this year. For the purposes of the budget we will assume that our losses from last year negate all of our income from this year from the bookstore. This is obviously a worst-case scenario, but we decided to err on the side of caution when budgeting.
(Big) LSS Update
A lot of things happened since the last update, so this post is a little long. Please take the time to read through the whole thing, because there is a lot of important information in here.
Council of Deans
The Council of Deans has been holding hearings regarding the hate speech complaint that occurred last semester. This Wednesday, the Council is holding its final hearing, the focus of which will be the impact that hate speech and racism have on the learning and teaching environment at the law school.
LSS Forums Moved
The LSS forums have been switched over from UNB's server to UNBLSS.COM. The LSS Forum link above has been updated to reflect the change.
If you have the old link bookmarked the forums can now be found at http://www.unblss.com/forum or http://forums.unblss.com if you want to see the forums in their own window.
During the migration the forum software was updated from phpBB2 to phpBB3 which is a major change. Please let us know if there are any problems or issues with the forum!

New Coffee Maker in Lounge
You may have noticed that there is a new coffee maker in the lounge. This is a temporary solution until a new coffee supply arrangement can be worked out. Tim Culbert and Jenn Madore have been working hard to bring proper coffee to the lounge, but we figured that in the mean time it would be worth it to bring in a temp.
Please be sure to treat this piece of common property with respect. If you make a mess, clean it up. The instruction manual is beside the coffee tin, so read it if you don't know how the machine works.
