As you may have heard, a human rights complaint was recently made against a Ludlow student. The complaint involves racist, sexist, and hateful statements made on an internet forum.

Fellow Students,

The following is the fall 2008 funding allocation for clubs and societies.

 As some of you may already know, LSS finances are a little tighter this year due to issues with the management of the bookstore last year. The purpose of this message is not to point fingers and throw mud but instead to dispel any rumours and misinformation which may be circulating and give the students at Ludlow the facts about what happened to their money. We realize this story is not a short one but we believe it is important in the interest of full disclosure to ensure its completeness.

As you may already have noticed, receipts were emailed out today to everyone who purchased books from the bookstore. There is one receipt per student which contains all individual sales you made this semester. If you purchased books and did not receive an email or have any questions you can email Kevin @ secretary [at] unblss [dot] com.

This election was a real nail-biter - both candidates were within one or two votes of each other the entire way. We would like to thank both Tim and Nick for putting their names in the hat and running a great race.

Typically voter turnout for LSS elections is around 30-35%. This year over half (approximately 55%) of eligible voters cast ballots which is a great turnout!
