My name is Kathleen Adams and I will be serving as your LSS Vice President for 2019-20. 

 

Part of my job is to get clubs and societies at Ludlow up and running and so I have a bit of information for everyone regarding establishing a new club/society and applying for funding for your club/society from the LSS (both new and existing). 

 

Every September as part of Orientation Week we host a Clubs & Societies fair in Ludlow. All clubs (new and existing) need to submit a new application form, and must have a representative present at the fair to give information to potential new members. 

Here are some things you need to know going forward: 

Establishing a New Club/Society -- 

For new clubs, you will need to solicit signatures from current students to show interest. Also, try to keep in mind any funding needs for possible events when filling out the form, as the budgeting section is also required for me to accept your application. However, you are not guaranteed to receive the amount specified on the form. 

 

Existing Clubs/Societies -- 
To those of you who are already up and running, you still need to send me an application for budgeting purposes, and so I know who your point of contact is. Please disregard the "For New Clubs Only" section and skip to Part C after completing the Contact Information section.

 

 

Please also take a moment to read the Clubs and Societies Policy. You can hand applications in to me either in person or via email (lss@unb.ca) or by placing your completed application in the folder on the LSS office door.
